And now for something completely different

After a brief (all be it unsuccessful) encounter with the world of romance, I return once more to online dating hoping for a better experience than my last. While living in Toronto has its perks, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the big city. Eventually one arrives at the inevitable question: “How do you meet new people in such a big city?” There’s work I suppose, but as a high school teacher the mean age of most of the eligible men I work with runs in the area of “old enough to be my father”. Then there are your friends. Ah…good old reliable friends….., but when your friends are as desperately single as you are the chances of them knowing that “really great guy who would be just perfect for you” decreases exponentially. After all, if they did, they probably wouldn’t be one of your single friends. Sooooo Voila, here I am. Now here comes the part I hate, talking about myself. I’m not very good at it, I never know what to say. I mean how do you describe a witty, intelligent, kind, spontaneous, easy going woman who knows what she wants and where she’s going with a heart as big as all outdoors?
